The corporate structure of ARCOS Engineering consists of four partners who are responsible for consulting and engineering activities.
The company operates with the involvement, among others, of the most talented graduates from Politecnico di Torino in structural, geotechnical and architectural disciplines, employing them in highly complex consulting projects.
ARCOS Engineering typically brings non-standard approaches to engineering issues and makes advanced use of numeric and experimental models, often working in collaboration with national and international partners.
Civil Engineer, with a PhD in Structural Engineering, Full Professor of Structural Engineering since 2001 and Vice Rector of Politecnico di Torino for International Affairs. Past member of the Board of Directors of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) in Rome.
He founded ARCOS Engineering with a group of professors of Politecnico di Torino in 2003.
His main experiences and activities are related to civil structural and seismic engineering, comprising the seismic analysis of RIR classified industrial sites, risk analysis (NaTech risk and man-induced risk) of structures and infrastructures, strength and progressive collapse of structures (breakage and instability), fracture and fatigue in steel and reinforced concrete, mechanical characterisation of materials and structural identification. He carries out commissioning activities, is an expert consultant in forensic and disaster engineering, due diligence of real estate and infrastructural portfolios. Moreover, he first introduced Mechonomics in complex systems.
Civil Engineer, Full Professor of Structural Engineering and Member of the Higher Council of Public Works, he participated in the preparation of the new Technical Standards for Constructions.
He founded ARCOS Engineering with a group of professors of Politecnico di Torino in 2003, contributing his enthusiasm for civil engineering and his experience to the design field.
His main experiences and activities are related to structural and seismic engineering, dam engineering, seismic vulnerability analysis and design of retrofits, FEM analyses, structural and technical-administrative tests, participation in adjudicating commissions and preparation of bids for tender.
She joined the ARCOS Engineering team in 2005, becoming a partner in 2009.
Projects Coordinator with a specialisation in structural engineering, seismic analysis and numerical models. She has extensive experience in the design of transport infrastructures in desert areas and in the relative problems of blowing sand and sand mitigation design, which she has investigated deeply over the years using fluid-dynamic analyses and field monitoring techniques.
For several years now she has been working on the planning and development of customised monitoring systems, creating physical-numerical models for structural analysis and Scada systems.
Construction Engineer with an Italian PhD in Geotechnics and a French PhD in Mechanics, she is particularly interested in experimental research into structures and materials. After working at Politecnico di Torino, she joined the ARCOS Engineering team in 2005, becoming a partner in 2009.
An expert in geotechnical engineering and hydrogeological instability, she studies landslides, avalanches and specific problems in the fields of civil and industrial engineering. She takes care of the characterisation of geotechnical and construction materials, also from a legislative and contractual point of view, and works in the fields of forensic and disaster-related engineering, due diligence and real estate management.
